About/History:
Summerlin, in Las Vegas, is one of America's fastest-growing communities and Summerlin Hospital Medical Center is keeping up with its neighbors. Over the past few years, the hospital has expanded its pediatric care services to add a Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU), advanced cardiac and surgical procedures, including open heart, and robotic surgery services.
Summerlin Hospital recently completed the largest expansion project in its history. The expansion included the addition of a six-story tower that contains 173 additional private patient rooms, an expanded emergency room and pediatric emergency room. The hospital also features adjoining outpatient services and physician offices.
Summerlin Hospital is a member of The Valley Health System, along with sister facilities Valley Hospital Medical Center, Desert Springs Hospital Medical Center, Spring Valley Hospital Medical Center and Centennial Hills Hospital Medical Center.
Summerlin Hospital Medical Center is accredited by The Joint Commission, is licensed by the state of Nevada's Department of Health and is a member of the American Hospital Association, the Federation of American Hospitals, the Association of Western Hospitals and the Nevada Hospital Association.
