Junior Achievement of Southern Nevada to host Golf Tournament at Las Vegas Paiute Golf Resort on Tuesday, June 2, 2009
For Immediate Release:
Las Vegas, Nevada -- It's time to get out your golf gear and join Junior Achievement (JA) of Southern Nevada at Las Vegas Paiute Golf Resort on Tuesday, June 2, 2009 to have a great time while raising funds to support JA.
JA programs teach young people about entrepreneurship, work readiness and financial literacy. For example, third grade students learn how to plan a city as part of Junior Achievement’s Our City™ program, and high school students learn basic concepts of managing a business through Junior Achievement’s on-line program, JA Titan™.
Participate in the all-day Golf Marathon to raise funds or sponsor a four-some in the Golf Classic. The registration fee for the Golf Classic is $1,000 per group of 4 golfers. The putting contest begins at 2:00pm, golf starts on Las Vegas Paiute Golf Resort (Wolf Course), and a BBQ at the conclusion.
Even if you don’t score under par, you will be making a hole-in-one for local students’ education. Local media and companies will be at the event and proceeds will benefit Junior Achievement. So call Junior Achievement of Southern Nevada at (702) 214-0500 for more details on how to get involved!
