New director of operations and business development joins University of Nevada School of Medicine clinical practice

LAS VEGAS, Nev.—David Rencher, recently chief executive officer of Desert View Regional Medical Center, has joined University Health System as director of operations and business development. University Health System is the statewide clinical practice of the University of Nevada School of Medicine.
Rencher will provide direction for the day-to-day operations of University Health System, including the administrative and strategic direction in planning, monitoring and managing the operations of the clinical practice, in Las Vegas.
Rencher has more than 20 years of experience in the hospital and health care services industry.
He most recently led the construction, licensure, certification and opening of Desert View Regional Medical Center in Pahrump, Nevada. The $36 million, 50-bed center serves a community of 38,000.
Before opening the medical center, Rencher was president and chief executive officer of Chippewa County War Memorial Hospital, a non-profit, 133-bed facility in Michigan.
