EVERGREEN RECYCLING REACHES MERGER AGREEMENT WITH REPUBLIC SERVICES

Combined Waste Recycling Programs to Set New Standard for
Commercial, Industrial and Construction Recycling in the Las Vegas valley
(Las Vegas, Nevada) – Evergreen Recycling, Clark County’s largest independent commercial, industrial and construction recycler announced today it has signed an acquisition agreement with Republic Services of Southern Nevada.
“This merger will establish new milestones, service offerings and make significant impacts to Southern Nevada’s recycling rates,” said Rob Dorinson, President of Evergreen Recycling.
“Together Evergreen and Republic can provide expanded capabilities and more efficient services to meet the local economy’s changing recycling needs. Environmentally sustainable practices has always been and will continue to be Evergreen Recycling’s mission in this new venture,” said Dorinson.
Founded in 1997, Evergreen Recycling has provided commercial recycling services to all sectors of the local economy and construction waste management services for hundreds of local development projects, including LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certified projects which emphasize material resource conservation and recycling in their specifications. Evergreen Recycling collects and processes recyclable materials that are delivered to commodity markets worldwide for remanufacture and reuse.
In 2007, Evergreen Recycling opened a state-of-the-art, 50,000 square foot recycling facility with an established goal of recycling more than 75% of all materials collected. The company has received numerous awards, including the 2009 U.S EPA Environmental Achievement Award, the 2009 Best Green Practices Award by the Las Vegas Business Press, the 2009 SBA Small Business Person of the Year Award and the 2010 Construction & Demolition Recycling Facility of the Year Award by the Construction Materials Recycling Association (CMRA).

Rob Dorinson, CEO Len Christopher and other members of the Evergreen Recycling team will stay on board as managers for the combined recycling operations.
