(Las Vegas) – The Caring Place, a non-profit organization that offers free support, services and information to individuals touched by cancer, today announced the appointment of Fern Netzky, corporate counsel for Orgill/Singer & Associates, to its board of directors.

Netzky will assist her fellow board members by contributing expertise, participating in strategic development of the organization including funding support, and serving on the administration committee.

“As a cancer survivor and an attorney, I truly look forward to the challenge and opportunity to play a part in fulfilling the organization’s mission—to support, educate and empower individuals and families on their journey with cancer in order to enhance their quality of life,” said Netzky.

The Caring Place is a non-profit organization created to bring a community-based wellness center to Southern Nevada. This center provides an oasis for those touched by cancer, away from medical facilities, for healing and information to support mind, body and soul. The Caring Place has in place a highly qualified staff to provide free programs that support individuals and their families in actively managing the impact of cancer in their lives and improving their quality of life. The Caring Place serves adults with cancer and their family and friends regardless of age, gender, race, ethnicity, religion or sexual orientation.
