Founded in 1971, the College of Southern Nevada is a state-supported institution of higher learning offering two-year degrees, certificates and workforce training. CSN offers more than 3,000 courses each semester in over 130 fields of study with more than 215 degree and certificate options. Those planning to attend a four-year college or university will find that the college offers many transferable courses to fit most every educational need. Built in 1981 as the second comprehensive campus of CSN, the Henderson Campus houses a large, open computer lab, computerized classrooms and state-of-the-art science labs. The Henderson Campus has an award-winning Air Conditioning Technology Program that has earned national recognition from North American Technician Excellence for its technological resources and opportunities for students. The Southern Desert Regional Police Academy is also housed at the Henderson Campus, and boasts an increasing number of cadets and recruits into the fields of law enforcement, school district/campus police, highway patrol officers and many others. A ten-acre complex features greenhouse classrooms and a huge assortment of plants supports our horticulture program. With almost 10,000 square feet, the four greenhouses are a great complement to the experimental gardens. Surrounded by beautiful red rock stone, Morse Stadium and Lied Baseball Complex is home field to the CSN Coyote Baseball team, the 2003 NJCAA National Champions. A fiercely competitive team, each season the best Coyotes players have an opportunity to advance to minor and major league baseball teams across the country. Our athletic department also boasts a successful softball program with Women's Fast Pitch Softball Team.
