Quality of Life

Arts and culture. Recreation and adventure. Incredible entertainment venues. Combine all of this with a beautiful climate and a thriving economy, and you'll find no better place to call home than Las Vegas!

As Las Vegas continues to grow and diversify, the city is truly becoming a leader, not only as an entertainment destination and a thriving center for business and industry, but from a community standpoint as well. From neighborhood parks and recreation centers to upscale cultural arts offerings through institutions such as the Las Vegas Philharmonic and the Nevada Ballet Theatre, today's Las Vegas Valley brings an undeniable richness to its residents' quality of life.

"Since moving here from San Diego about three years ago, I have been amazed at how the valley has grown and how it continues to have so much to offer new families relocating here. There are many great things for all ages, such as visiting museums, going on nature hikes, taking camping trips to nearby camp areas and quick trips to Lake Mead to relax by the water. For sport advocates we have youth and adult sports leagues. My family and I are happy to call Las Vegas our home."

—Kenya Drake, Mortgage Consultant, Wells Fargo Home Mortgage MAC.

Not only is there much to see and do in Las Vegas, there are also plenty of jobs, thanks to a healthy, diverse job market and pro-business environment. The cost of living is lower than in many comparable U.S. cities, due in part to the absence of any personal income tax and moderate property taxes.

For nearly 14 years, the U.S. Census Bureau has shown Nevada growing faster than any other state in the nation. New commercial and residential property is continually coming on the market. Master-planned communities dot the city's landscape, providing a small-town atmosphere within a large, glamorous city. The city's diverse people, communities, jobs and attractions make Las Vegas one of the best – and most unique - places to live, work and play.

ARTS & CULTURE
